7/8" diameter 302/316 stainless steel spring.
Stainless Steel Support Spring: 11 ¾ in. long.
302 generally offers higher tensile strength, making it better for applications requiring high load capacity, while 316 provides superior corrosion resistance. 
316 provides superior corrosion resistance, making it ideal for environments with harsh chemicals or saltwater exposure.
Black nylon end plugs, and brackets made of either nylon or aluminum.   
Each end of this automatic hatch holder has brackets with 4 holes pre-drilled
